Russ Bencks

Managing Principal

Russ is a Partner with Top Line Growth Partners and runs the Executive Search & Sales Recruiting practice for the firm.  He also oversees the Finance, Operations, and Talent Acquisition functions. Russ joined Top Line to create a management consulting firm where A-player talent can learn from one another and help each other grow and thrive as well as deliver outstanding insights and business outcomes for clients.

During his 25+ years of executive search and consulting experience, Russ has had the privilege of serving as a trusted advisor to numerous high growth companies and has led hundreds of senior level executive searches. He formerly ran the Executive Search & Recruiting practice for a regional consulting firm that partners with high growth and middle market companies. Previously, Russ served for 17 years as President of Bencks & Co., a boutique executive search firm located in Richmond, Virginia.

Russ has a passion for issues around early childhood development and is a Board Member of Thrive Birth to Five.  Formerly, Russ served the community as a Rotarian for 20 years and is a past President of the West Richmond Rotary Club. He is also a member of the Leadership Metro Richmond class of 2015.

Russ holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Richmond.  He is the proud dad of two adult children…a son in Charleston, SC, and a daughter in Richmond, VA.  Russ enjoys golf, tennis, fishing, and traveling as well as attending UR basketball games.
